As the nation pays tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the military, Tennessee stands ready to honor its veterans with a range of events and parades for Veterans Day 2023.
This is a time for communities across the state to come together and express their deep gratitude for the sacrifices made by our veterans.

EAST TENNESSEE

Lovelace and University Street - Downtown Martin
The 2023 Martin Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal is Robert Chappell. Mr Chappell is the only remaining WWII veteran in Weakley County.
here are only 160,000 WWII veterans left in the country. Chappell celebrated his 100th birthday on October 4th.
The Missing Man ceremony will be held immediately following the parade at the City of Martin Public Library Stage.

Memphis Wind Symphony will perform a variety of uplifting classics and new pieces honoring our country, the inspirational men and women who have served, and those who are serving now.
Come enjoy an Earth, Wind and Fire medley, “God of Our Fathers,” a video tribute to December 7, and the Jack Lawrence Songbook along with many other selections.

Nashville's annual Veterans Day Parade is one of the largest in the state, featuring a procession of military units, veterans' organizations, and community groups. It's a day of patriotic pride and recognition in the heart of Music City.

Country Music Hall of Fame - Nashville
Come hear songs written and performed by veterans through Operation Song at the Country Music Hall of Fame for its Veterans Day Celebration. Hear the stories of veterans as they have written them to music and support and empower them here locally.

In honor of the veterans who have served in the armed forces, the City of La Vergne will hold its annual Veterans Day Ceremony in the boardroom at City Hall. The ceremony will feature several speakers and time honoring and thanking military veterans.

Join us for a fun, family friendly, untimed 5K color run/walk to celebrate and honor our veterans! There will be a 5K option as well as a 1 mile option.

The annual salute to those who served our country in Williamson County is set for Friday, Nov. 10 in downtown Franklin.
Prior to the parade, a reception will be held at the Williamson County Archives from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. for local veterans and their families.

The Chattanooga Area Veterans Council, along with Hamilton County Government and the city of Chattanooga, invites the community to join them in celebrating the service of all veterans of the Armed Forces.
There is free parking. Veterans are encouraged to wear an item identifying their branch of service.
